Privacy policy

How KeptSimple collects, uses and protects personal information in KeptSimple CRM.

Last updated: November 2026.

KeptSimple ("we", "us") provides KeptSimple CRM, an online CRM for test & tag and field-service businesses. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Account information — names, email addresses and phone numbers of users, and technician licence or competency details you choose to record.
  • Business records you enter — your customers, sites, contacts, assets, test results, jobs, photos and notes. You control this information; we process it on your behalf to provide the service.
  • Technical information — sign-in times, IP addresses and browser information used for security (for example, protecting accounts from password guessing).
  • Registrations of interest — your name, email and message when you register interest on our website.

How we use it

  • To provide, secure, support and improve KeptSimple CRM.
  • To respond to registrations of interest and messages, and to let you know when the service launches.
  • To send service messages such as password resets.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your business records for advertising.

Where it is stored

KeptSimple CRM runs on Cloudflare's global network with its database hosted in the Oceania region. Nightly backups are stored in encrypted Amazon Web Services storage in Sydney. Some of these providers may process data outside Australia in the course of delivering their services.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, per-business data isolation, hashed passwords, sign-in protection and regular backups. See our Security page.

Access, correction and deletion

Users can view and update their own details in the app. Business administrators can export their records at any time. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, contact us via the contact page.

Contact

Questions or complaints about privacy can be sent through our contact page. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
